ABQ UPTOWN

LuM Lighting Design worked with Albuquerque-based Dekker/Perich/Sabatini for this ongoing project in the heart of Albuquerque's Uptown business and retail district which creates a pedestrian-oriented, mixed-use city neighborhood. The urban infill development is built on a previously vacant 20-acre Brownfield site between two large retail malls. With the texture and density of a traditional downtown, ABQ Uptown melds lifestyle, retail, entertainment, multi-family housing, offices, a hotel, and a corner grocery store.

Lighting solutions included a kit-of-parts approach that replicated lighting elements which coincide with architectural features. Our approach created a unique, luminous canvas on which individual retailers are able to express their personalities and priorities while creating a cohesive design across the expansive site.
